Creative Craft Time

Everyday, we like to include a time for Arts and Crafts for children to create and explore:

 

☻ Drawing and Colouring:  Creative expression using crayons and markers; painting with fingers, brushes, and dot paints.  For example, draw your family, 

an animal, your favourite playtime, your favourite cartoon character, your favourite Christmas present.

 

☻ Crafts and Construction:  Constructing with paper and craft items.  Introduction to scissors and cutting. For example, make a telescope, a present, an 

airplane.  We have a collection of a variety of craft ideas for young children to help build their hand-and-eye coordination, and enhance their creativity and 

imagination.

 

These activities help develop the creative exploration side in children as well as aid in building the child's fine motor skills of hand-eye coordination.  These activities require a child to learn how to precisely control the muscles in the hands.  Things like coloring, writing, 

cutting with scissors, using tweezers, tearing paper, etc.
