How We Teach
We provide three-day and full time enriched curriculum for toddlers,
preschoolers and kindergarten children, from 16 months to 5 years
old. At Happy Home Daycare, we design our curriculum around the
needs of 3 to 5 children maximum.
Positive Behavior Reinforcement
We believe in instilling positive behaviors through actions and positive
reinforcement.
By allowing children to communicate their emotions and personal choices,
we give them control over their environment. Recognizing the choices of
each child, allows the children to experience an environment with a multitudeof perspectives and expectations. Learning to respect boundaries of mutual
consent and gracefully accepting the needs of others is at the core of every
healthy relationship with teachers, parents, and playmates.
Positive Behavior Reinforcement all begins with a warm, kind, and attentive
relationship with every single child at Happy Home Daycare.
Play, Learn, Grow
All children play, because it is fun, but also because it is essential to their
learning. By immersing themselves in play, children develop skills for a life-long embrace of education, concentration, independent thinking, problem
solving, and emotional maturity.
At Happy Home Daycare, children develop physical, social, emotional, and
cognitive skills under expert care. We believe when children feel loved and
respected, they are ready to learn and grow.

☻ Customized daily programs:
Having the luxury of planning the
day for about 3 to 5 children
allows us to truly meet their needs by regularly updating our activities to nurture the specific needs and
interests of each child.
☻ Significantly decreases chance
of getting sick due to a better
controlled environment.
☻ We share the excitement everyday with parents by sending them daily photos.
Developmental Domains
☻ Gross Motor = This involves learning to use all of the “big” muscles in our body.
Crawling, walking, running, skipping, jumping, and climbing are all examples of
gross motor activity.
☻ Fine Motor = Activities that teach hand-eye coordination. These activities require
a child to learn to precisely control the muscles in the hands. Things like coloring,
writing, cutting with scissors, using tweezers, tearing paper, etc.
☻ Cognitive = Math, science, logical, balance. This includes cause-and-effect,
reasoning, as well as early-math skills. Counting and patterning are also included
in this domain for preschoolers.
☻ Language = This domain includes alphabetics, phonemic awareness, oral, and
written language. Talking about things throughout the day is especially important
as well.
☻ Social & Emotional = Your child is a social being! Learning to “play” (especially
with others) is a skill. Teaching in this domain also involves making sure a child feels
safe and nurtured. Manners and using kind words are also be examples included
in this domain.
☻ Self-Help & Adaptive = Activities in this domain include learning to dress
oneself, feed oneself, using the toilet, brushing teeth, bathing, tying shoes, etc.
Everything that a child needs to know to start being more independent
☻ Spiritual & Moral = Understanding the difference between right and wrong.

We use knowledge of child development to create a program that meets the needs of the ages and stages of development with a well planned curriculum. By observing the child as an individual, we learn about their interests, strengths, and
abilities. What we learn about each child helps us teach and care for them as individuals. Children learn through play.
Here, play is a serious part of learning.
